Completely desulfated heparin, a kind of glycosaminoglycan prepared from heparin, can be used as a substrate of O/N-sulfotransferase for chemical and biological researches. The sulfate groups were removed by chemical methods and less than 2% of sulfate was detected by BaCl2-gelatin assay.
